“Life is full of surprises!” Some appear to be pleasant and some quiet vexatious. Pleasant surprises are those which we have no difficulty in accepting. On the other hand, unpleasant surprise are those which are strenuous to accept. Determining what is pleasant or unpleasant for a person is a subject of interpretation varying person to person. What may seem to please you may not please your boss (Pun intended).
Pleasant or unpleasant, whatever the surprise makes you feel, one thing is for sure, once you receive it, your life never remains the same. Everything changes!
We all know quite well how to deal with pleasantly appearing surprises. But what about those which seem to be just unacceptable. How can we really deal with them?
Let’s learn something from a mythical creature ‘Phoenix’ here. The phoenix is well known for burning in its own fire and rising again from its own ashes.
So what I suggest here is, when life throws a surprise on us which is seemingly unpleasant and totally unacceptable, like the phoenix, let us own it like the fire. Let us just see it like the fire which is here to break, dismantle, shatter and destroy the old and obsolete ways and beliefs and burn in it. Let it Burn till nothing but ashes are left behind. Just completely surrender to it. Because what will emerge out of the ashes would be something new. A new you! You who is stronger and wiser than before. A person who is more vibrant, an example for the whole world to look up to. You would just look back and would be proud of yourself to have made it through.
There is only to gain and nothing to lose.
Just like the phoenix burns to ashes in its own fire and begins life anew from its own ashes, let your own challenges of your life transform you into a new “YOU”!
